Seven Days of Partner Yoga, Day 3-Flying Partner Pose

Day 3 of our “Seven Days of Partner Yoga”! Today we are featuring “Flying Partner Pose” which is actually considered acro yoga! ✈️ 🦅

This is a strength, flexibility, & trust building partner yoga pose that can be done between older siblings (ages 6+) or between adult and child. 🧑 🧒
To practice this acro yoga pose, lay on your back. For toddlers, have them place their full torso on your shins. Hold their hands or arms and lift your shins to 90 degrees! Make bird or airplane noises together!
For older kids, lay on your back with knees bent. Place your feet on the front outer edge of the pelvic bone(not their tummy). Hold their hands and slowly bring your legs up so they can fly!
Encourage the child to straighten their arms to help build arm & back muscle strength. As kids get stronger, they can slowly let go of your hands and use their back muscles to hold their torso up! 💪🏼
